Placing An Order

Your order will only be accepted if received from persons over the age of 18.

All items offered on our website are subject to availability. We will where possible advise you via our web site, details of any items that are currently out of stock. If you do order an item and it is out of stock we will notify you within 1 working day of your order being placed. At that point we will advise you of the likely time scale of any delay, you can then decide to either wait for the item to come in to stock, or cancel your order.

Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998).

We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service.

We will not e-mail you in the future unless you have given us your consent.

We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us or from another trader in the future.
The type of information we will collect about you includes:

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent.

The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.

Payment and Ownership of Goods

Payment Gateway services are provided by PayPal who handle the credit/debit card transaction securely. We are never sent your credit/debit card details by Paypal. We will take all reasonable precautions to keep the details of your order secure, but, unless we are negligent, we cannot be held liable for any losses caused as a result of unauthorised access to information provided by you. If we have reason to suspect that your details have been obtained fraudulently from us, we will endeavour to let you know as soon as we can.

Goods supplied by us remain our property until those goods have been paid for in full. If payment is declined by your card issuer, or your cheque is not honoured by your bank, we will treat the order as cancelled.

If the goods have already been dispatched to you we may:-

a) Require that you make the goods available for us to collect; or
b) Ask you to return the goods to us at our cost; or
c) Require you to pay in full by alternative means within 48 hours.

Website Accuracy

Products, prices and offers are only valid the time they are displayed on our website. If they become unavailable in the period after you have placed an order with us we will contact you with more information before proceeding with the order.

All images should be used only as a guide or representation of the item. Specifications and/or colours of products may change without prior notice.

Returns

7 day money back guarantee

You may return your items within 7 days to us for any reason at all in accordance with your statutory rights. These items must be unused and re-salable.

You should be aware that, once we begin the delivery process for your order, you will not be able to cancel the order should you decide that you do not want to receive the items (although you may return the item unused, unopened and in a re-saleable condition sent back at your own expense.)

Goods which cannot be resold as new will be rejected for refund and returned to you.

We reserve our right to charge a restocking fee of 15% of the goods, excluding shipping, where the goods are not faulty.

Faulty Goods and Warranties

With regards to Faulty Goods, as long as the goods are faulty within 28 days of delivery, Firefly Aviation will replace or refund your order, no problems.

Where an item is faulty and covered by an additional warranty we will repair or replace the item according to the terms and conditions of the warranty. Warranty times vary per item but specific details are available on the item description page. Should you have any further queries regarding the warranty time please contact us prior to purchase.

In all cases return shipping charges are at your (the customer) expense.

We recommend Royal Mail First Class Recorded Delivery for returning items, or Royal Mail Special Delivery for higher value items..

If you believe your item is faulty and it is found to not be case by our technicians the item will be returned to you at your expense.

Returns must be accompanied by our Returns form for them to be processed. Please email ourselves for an emailed Returns form.

Where a refund is concerned, we will refund the total amount of money paid by you for the goods, less any costs to collect and deliver the goods and restocking charges, within 30 days, starting with the day on which we receive a notice of cancellation from you.

Delivery

All parcels are delivered by Royal Mail Service. The service type used will depend upon the value of the product/s purchased. We dispatch our orders using one or more of the following services: Royal Mail 1st Class, Standard Parcels or Special Delivery Service. A signature will be required upon delivery to your address.

For EU and International orders, we use Royal Mail International Signed For.

We endeavour to dispatch all in stock items within 1 working days of the order being placed.

Should you not be available to sign for your package, then Royal Mail will post a Card through your letterbox requesting that the package is picked-up from your local depot (we cannot accept any instructions to deliver to another address / person such as your next door neighbour or leaving the package elsewhere)

Please note: People ordering using Special Delivery are buying a faster delivery time. Not a faster dispatch time.

An item is not considered "lost" until 14 working days after dispatch.

Firefly-aviation.co.uk will not tolerate any attempts to obtain goods by fraudulent means. Any fraudulent action will be reported to the relevant authorities. Please note that Internet host IP addresses are recorded when placing an order online.

Software

If you order software from us you will also be bound by the terms of the software license supplied with the software.

Law

The contract between us shall be governed by the laws of England and any dispute between us will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England.

Data Protection

The Data Protection Act 1998 applies. You may write to the data controller at our place of business above, in order to query what data is held about you.
